One-Shot is a daily email brief about AI, published by AI Unafraid. These terms are the whole deal, in plain words. There is no fine print below this line.

The free brief

The daily brief is free. Sign up with an email address and it arrives each day. We never ask for payment details on the free tier, and we may change what goes into the brief as the news changes.

The Premium pre-order

Premium costs $120 a year, in US dollars, billed through Stripe on pages Stripe hosts. We never see your card number. Right now Premium is a pre-order, and it works like this.

• You save a card with Stripe today. We charge nothing.
• The first charge happens only when your Premium edition starts sending.
• Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing at all.
• If you are charged and Premium is not what you hoped, ask us and we will refund that first charge in full.

The founding price

Pre-order now and $120 a year is your price for as long as your subscription stays active. We may charge new subscribers more later. Your price does not move.

Leaving

Every issue carries an unsubscribe link. One click and the emails stop, free or Premium, no forms and no phone calls. Cancelling Premium stops any future charge.

If we shut down

If One-Shot closes, we will end Premium subscriptions and refund the unused part of any year you have paid for, pro-rata. We would rather give the money back than keep it for a product that no longer exists.

What the brief is

One-Shot is information and commentary about AI. It is not financial, legal, medical or any other kind of professional advice. Check anything important with a professional before you act on it.

Liability

We limit our liability to the extent Australian law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes the consumer guarantees under Australian law that cannot be excluded. Where the law lets us limit a claim, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change is material we will email you before it takes effect, and you can unsubscribe or cancel if you do not like it. Small corrections may go live without a note.
